Have you ever wanted to really connect with your fellow GRS members and staff?

Now on the tail end of the Twitter release I feel its time to open up to all of the GRS member and say that we have a GRS Facebook group.

The group is open to all, just request to join the group and pm your name to Illicit_Rage or the group creator so as we know who is who.

i joined i think its cool, it really does bring it to a more personal lvl, maybe too personal? we will see though, worst comes to worse i unjoin

wow that sounds good glad to see were so spread out to accommodate peoples needs well I don't have face book but it certainly is nice to see someone set up the group

I am skeptical of social networking sites, but I may eventually make the effort to get an account...

I'm with rager on that one.. but I could always use a alias and what not... lol

yeah, thats understandable guys...if you were so inclined as to try it out, i would set up the most basic account at least...no info other than name and maybe a profile pic..nothing more than you already have on here tbh.

its no biggie if you dont though, we're just using this to get to know each other a little better.

I must agree with this. I don't know you guys. You might seem like great people, but I don't trust anyone in this day and age with my actual family information.

to be honest, the only people who really need to use social networking sites are either:
a. Someone people want to hear ( celebs, sports people; for twitter) And people that know each other, however can't connect face to face. Facebook sites for the average teenager are kind of stupid, unless you can't talk at school.

I will never join a site like facebook. 1. They are almost pointless unless you want to communicate will a friend you haven't seen in years and don't know their email. 2. If you know there email things just got easier, Just type that in so only they can see it instead of everyone in the world.

Thats what I used to think. I held out getting facebook for about 2 years after its popularity exploded. I just got it back in June, and it makes keeping in touch with people alot easier and better then emailing. I dont really use the photo applications which most people spend all their time on though. I do agree with you Kaleb though, when I was in highschool, I wouldnt have needed a facebook account.

Once you leave school and then go to college and then leave college and go travelling and then start working then switch jobs (etc), you start losing contact with friends you made all over the place. What about long lost relatives? I've recently found out that I have cousins in Canada who all have children and husbands and whatnot. I would never have known if it wasn't for Facebook.

I think its a brilliant idea, don't be so cynical about it A lot of people don't even check things like email inbox for messages anymore, since everything is overrun with spam, so its very easy to miss a message. And like all other social networking sites, Facebook has an option to post messages privately. Its better than email since all you need is a name instead of random addresses and confusion between googlemail/yahoo/hotmail/.com/.co.uk/.net and so on.

Point is, facebook is good
