Global RuneScape

I didn't really like the sound of this topic and didn't find it very interesting, I enjoyed last weeks about the hunting skill though. I think you should keep it more focused on runescape itself and not why people play it.

Allthough by the sounds of it some people liked it.


Anyway I play runescape because I enjoy competition without the risk of being humiliated, and I also spend a lot of time on computers so Its just something to do when im not busy (which means I play everyday for at least a couple of hours, lol)

He has nothing better to do out of class. His girlfriend lives out of state from his college, and his collage is in Texas. Theres nothing to do in Texas tbh.

True that, cept party and look at hott girls, but you can only do those soo much.

On a serious note, If I am ever serious...

I play RS for multiple reasons...
A) I love leveling, nothing is better then that message we are all familiar with.
B) Friends, If it wasn't for friends IE Dave, Jeff and Beevis you guys all hear about, I wouldn't still be playing.
C) Compitition. I love having higher stats then someone and when someone is better then me, I wanna beat them.
D) Fun. Nothing is better then going to CW and 'owning some noobs' or hanging out at abbies shootin' the stuff with some random people.

This is why I have been playing RS for 5 yrs and one only 1 character, no pker's, no pure skillers. Everything I do in RS is on Lil Mcginley.

I play RuneScape because I am a shud-in who has no life and sits on the computer eating cheetos playing RuneScape and emailing viruses to other people.....

I play RuneScape for a few reasons:

1) I am superior in game to others
2) I have decided to follow in Lil McGinley's footsteps by doing slayer. (He's my RuneScape idol).
3) It just gives me something to look forward to in fantasy and not reality
4) It takes my mind off school and current events.
5) I have something to strive for - Number 12,387 overall

Well, I play RS mainly to escape from my hellish life of getting beaten by a hockey stick by a female, GCSEs, et cetera, et cetera
Maybe we could do an article more related to this week (Survey on the Haloween event this yr, the new quests, etc)?

Dude it's a java game. Also with all the things they added paved roads is one of the least wierd things in there.

Well. We're also not serfs and forced to pay taxes. We also don't have regional overlords, crusades, side wars, numerous witch huntings, an extremely religious atmosphere, philosophers, and bad hygene.

I'd like to point out that construction is flawed-you would not make houses that looked like that.

Good job in stating that there is no historical context behind runescape.

I think runescape does do a good job romanticising about Middleage/Renaissance, and some of the weaponry seems to be more Renaissance-esque then say, Middle Age. Runescape borrows from Arthurian (Holy Grail), Shakespeare (Romeo and Juliet), and many, many classical themes such as Dragon-slaying, damsel-rescuing, and that sort of thing.

Well you are absolutely right. Except for the nice people part. What was that about. Most of the people (That aren't GRS;)) that play RuneScape go on and are jerks. From what I have seen, there are barely any helpful people in RuneScape.

But yeah, quite interesting and accurate. Good job once again!!

G money made a good point about the community. The reason I quit in the first place was that people playing are like, all 8 year olds that didn't care for others or emo whiners that get power trips from showing off after wasting 21349324324234 hours playing.

To be honest. If it wasn't for this forum I found I would have gladly quit again.
