This is just a little reminder to everyone here that visits Global-rs.com. Seems there's been bit of a spike in rule breakers coming to our forums. Please remember ALL JAGEX RULES APPLY! We don't tolerate account traders, hackers, or any of the rest of their sort. This goes for the forums, the IRC, and even the Cc in-game.

If you happen to come across a post of any sort that looks suspicious, report it and please don't click any links that may have shown up. The staff are working hard to keep these rule breakers at bay, but regardless some manage to slip in under our noses.

Just remember to be aware of what you're doing on here and everywhere on the internet. Security is key!

Thank you on behalf of the GRS Staff,
Slim50

Thank you slim. Anybody that joins must read the rules. The two minutes it takes could be the difference between getting ban, and become a popular grs member. FOLLOW THE RULES please.

And if you don't follow the rules, be prepared for my banhammer. It's very large, and heavy, and hurts.

What i think we need to have is a big old thingamagig where all actual members (staff vote or something of the like to determine difference) that are active and trustworthy can delete or hide the stuff that the rulebreakers put down. They could report and then block out the link to protect others? something like that.

There'd be too much leighway for someone to get ticked off and/or be immature and hide good posts imo. We have enough people that can catch these people and deal with them quickly. So far all of them have been caught and punished accordingly very quickly.

For variety, you can borrow my Angry Hedge Clippers... I don't use them here anyways.

Thats like the same thing as a moderator for the fourms.... I've also noticed that alot of people new and old have been spamming. That also needs to stop.

That's kind of included in here, but something that definitely needs to be touched on. Make sure that your posts have some fruitful content in them. I can understand in a G&A topic saying "grats on lvl x!", but in other forums there really isn't any need to post "yup" or anything like that. If you're going to post, put reasoning and something in there that makes it give some sort of positive addition to the conversation. Post count means nothing, so it's not worth trying to spam post to 5k posts and demand an admin position. Just talk more and give reasoning behind your opinions and you'll be adding more to the conversation!

Good. I really hate communities with no discipline, and full of spam. :)

Agreed. The forum I left for GRS had no discipline at all. It was pretty much free-for-all.

Thanks for this Slim. :d

Ok I agree but if post count means nothing then whats wrong with having a conversation with someone in the forum, what is the point of a forum otherwise. :)

Conversating about the topic is understandable, however conversating back and forth too much is unacceptable. If a conversation lasts a while, and continues, it should be private messaged instead of continously boosting your post count in a single topic.

This.

Like the conversation in the Faces of GRS topic. You and Evil had a ton of posts going back and forth that were getting pretty far off topic. It started ok, but then just went to repeating yourselves.
